We love the mentality of the employees. Of course, we also found the many capabilities of the machine a big advantage.
In conversation with
TTGlas TTGlas supplies and installs various types of glazing, from double and single glazing to special applications. “We first worked together in a glass factory. Here, we were involved in producing and cutting glass. We wanted to focus on installing the glass, so we started our own business in January 2006. Our first client was our former employer.”
The start with Hoeflon “In the beginning, we rented cranes quite often. The glass is getting heavier and larger. Without a crane, it wasn’t feasible anymore. In 2012, we attended a trade show. There, we met Gert. We bought the very first C1 (then called C601). In 2017, we switched to a C6 and sold the C1.”
Why Hoeflon? “We visited the company. Gert had a well-supported technical explanation. We really like the mentality of the staff. Hoeflon always makes you feel welcome as a customer. When we bring the crane in for maintenance and inspection, we are always met with friendly and helpful technicians. The staff seems like a tight-knit team, grounded and always looking for innovation. Of course, we also really appreciated the many capabilities of the machine.”
Rising demand “We’ve noticed that the demand for our services is increasing. This mainly involves many jobs where we need to install double glazing. Many people are also replacing their single glazing with double glazing due to rising gas prices and subsidies. Because there’s so much work in the glass industry, we eventually decided to purchase our own Hoeflon crane.”
Electric machines “Technology is improving all the time. I really appreciate that all Hoeflon cranes are electric. All those emissions are not good. An electric machine works great; it’s nice and quiet, and there’s no diesel smell!”
Service “We have a service contract. Our machine goes to the service workshop annually for maintenance. Since we work on construction sites, this is important.”
The future of TTGlas “I think we’ll be working a bit less in five years. Perhaps we’ll focus more on jobs where you can use the crane, instead of manually installing the glass.”
The future with Hoeflon “I’m very satisfied with Hoeflon. We have good contact. If something happens, we can easily reach their service, and it’s always resolved quickly. Hoeflon is a strong company with a great vision. They’re keeping up with the times.”
“We’re together 24 hours a day. During the day, we do the same work. In the evenings, Gerard cooks, and I’m behind the computer.”
